About the OpportunityThe Ship Manager is accountable to the Program Manager for the vessel build aspects of Strategic Shipbuilding Tasking Statements.  This includes all functions of the Strategic Shipbuilding Value Stream ensuring that they are delivering the execution of the end-to-end Build Strategy from development through execution and delivery. What’s Involved

You’ll Need

   Essential

  • 12+ Years’ experience in a government shipbuilding Project/Production Leadership role.
  • Proven senior management skills and team building capability across organizations.
  • Proven senior communications skills and stakeholder management ability across organizations.
  • Proven skill in project management principles including Earned Value Management.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Project Management role or equivalent

 

 Desirable

  • Formal Qualification in Project Management
  • Competency in all Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Proven understanding of Earned Value Management
  • Knowledge of ship operation and management
  • Knowledge of facility management
