Maintenance Delivery Manager Cairns
The Opportunity
The Maintenance Delivery Manager, reporting to the Project Manager, is tasked with managing Planned Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) during Depot Level Maintenance (DLM) and MP (Maintenance Period) ensuring the vessel meets Class standards. This role carries full project management accountability for DLM and MP tasks, overseeing them through to successful project completion.
What’s involved
- Coordinate project planning and execution, manage scope and schedule, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with the Austal Sustainment Gate process for MP.
- Manage DLM/MP activity delivery to meet client-agreed schedules and milestones, communicate progress to stakeholders, control schedule growth, and proactively mitigate risks to ensure timely completion.
- Communicate HSEQ issues to all stakeholders, uphold Austal-aligned policies to maintain compliance, and lead initiatives aimed at achieving zero Lost Time Injuries (LTI).
- Manage project budgets ensuring timely financial close-out in accordance with the Sustainment Gate process, and actively minimise work-in-progress and outstanding commitments.
- Oversee compliance with all class requirements for the operational condition of designated platforms, ensure adherence to quality assurance standards, and proactively manage and minimise class-related conditions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce and present clear, concise reports.
You’ll need
Essential
- Australian Citizenship (or ability to maintain) for security clearance
- 3-5yrs project supervisory experience within marine or construction/ maintenance industry
- Strong computer literacy across Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel etc.)
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- White Card (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in Primavera P6 and/or CMMS and/or Microsoft Project
Desirable
- Diploma in either Marine Engineering / Marine Trade / Project Management
- Marine platform experience
- Trade certificate
- Risk Management or Contract management experience
- Understanding of Vessel Class requirements and class processes
