The Opportunity
As a Recruitment Advisor at Austal Australia, you'll play a key role in providing comprehensive recruitment services. You'll manage the entire recruitment process for both blue and white-collar roles, from requisition sign-off to candidate attraction, active sourcing, screening, assessment, offers, and onboarding. Your goal will be to deliver outstanding customer service to our internal stakeholders and ensure a positive experience for candidates, helping to position Austal as an employer of choice.
What's Involved
- Vacancy management from requisition sign off through to offer and on-boarding.
- Having a creative approach to candidate attraction and active sourcing.
- Attending relevant networking event and careers fairs.
- Conducting thorough and fair screening and assessment of candidates; coaching and supporting line managers on appropriate interview and assessment techniques.
- Managing candidate correspondence and timely feedback; briefing candidates on the recruitment process; and ensuring a positive candidate journey through the recruitment process, no matter the outcome.
- Contracts and all related correspondence are presented accurately and professionally.
You'll Need
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external recruitment partners.
- Demonstrate curiosity and a keen interest in both the business and potential candidates.
- Actively seek feedback to drive continuous improvement and personal development.
- Stay organized in a fast-paced environment, work independently, and communicate effectively with a keen eye for detail.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an in-house recruitment/talent acquisition role within a large organisation is essential, as is proven experience in both high-volume blue collar, and strategic white collar
