Quality Assurance Advisor

About the Opportunity

As a key member of the Quality Team, the Quality Assurance (QA) Advisor plays an important role in supporting major projects and programs across the business. Rather than focusing on ISO style compliance work, this role is centred on project based quality assurance, working directly with operational teams to ensure activities are delivered to the required standards.

You’ll lead audits, inspections and investigations that help keep project deliverables on track, while providing practical QA/QC support to teams on the ground. You’ll also assist the QA Manager with the day to day operation of the HSEQ Integrated Management System, ensuring our processes remain effective, relevant and continuously improving.

This is a hands on, project driven role where your problem solving skills and attention to detail will directly influence quality outcomes and contribute to the success of our major programs.

What’s Involved

• Conduct inspections and internal audits in line with the Quality Assurance schedule and business QMS requirements in support of Program Inspection Test Plans and as directed by the Program Quality Lead.
• Implement the requirements of Quality procedures and where necessary support the development and improvement of documented Quality processes.
• Audit OQE records and maintain QMS documentation, registers and quality systems.
• Report quality issues in the business issue management tool, track performance measures and support non conformance management.
• Investigate quality events, prepare reports, implement corrective actions and share lessons learned.
• Work within an integrated Quality Assurance team where the ability to work proactively across various process disciplines is key to the role.
• Support Subcontractors with quality investigations, process reviews and risk assessments.
• Monitor workplace compliance with Quality procedures and apply risk management principles.

You’ll Need

• A recognised certification in Quality Assurance, Lean Management, Engineering or Project Management discipline.
• Previous industry experience working in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control role.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment with a demonstrated strong desire to work in Quality Assurance
• Previous industry experience working in a Quality Assurance / Quality Control role (desirable).
• Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance.
