Project Engineer
About the Opportunity
Based in Henderson, the Project Engineer will be responsible for managing the systems engineering and technical delivery of complex maritime projects from project initiation through to vessel acceptance. Working closely with Project Managers, engineering teams, customers and regulatory stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering engineering outcomes, managing technical risk and ensuring project requirements are achieved safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual and regulatory obligations.

What's Involved
- Lead systems engineering planning activities and project technical delivery.
- Manage technical risks and contribute to project safety case development.
- Coordinate engagement with customers, Class and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor engineering schedules, milestones and technical deliverables.
- Support management of technical requirements and contract changes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across project teams.
You'll Need
- Bachelor of Engineering qualification.
- Minimum five years' experience within engineering and/or design environments.
- Experience managing technical deliverables across complex projects.
- Knowledge of maritime regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance.
Desirable
- Diploma or higher qualification in Project Management.
- Experience within the Defence or shipbuilding industry.
- Risk management or frontline leadership qualifications.
