What’s Involved
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of administrative process and procedures and provides a level of support that fosters an environment of efficiency, accuracy, and order of priority.
- Preparation of documentation and reports in line with Austal standards and able to format a suite of documents in accordance with Austal style guide.
- Stakeholder liaison as required (such as line managers, Payroll, Finance etc.)
- Build and maintain business relationships with key stakeholders within the business.
- Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
- Assist the Production Officer with booking meeting rooms, preparing agendas, and supporting minute taking and distribution
- Assist Production Officer to record bay inspections monthly and audits.
- Printing of requested labels for vessel labelling requirements, to industry standards and ordering of stock on time.
- Assisting with coordinating events and arranging refreshments / food beverages if required.
You’ll Need
- Cert III in Business Administration and/or relevant business qualifications, and/or an equivalent level of professional competence and experience in office management, business administration or related discipline.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact and communicate positively and professionally.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and online platforms such as SharePoint.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines whilst managing multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail and accuracy and work to set deadlines.
- The ability to recognise and initiate improvements within the department.
