About the Opportunity
As a key member of the Site Services Facility Management team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, fault-finding, and repair of a variety of plant and equipment used in aluminium fabrication and associated industrial processes. A suitable candidate will have excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work independently and under pressure.
What’s Involved
- Diagnose and conduct corrective maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment with minimal downtime in a maritime environment
- Perform tasks in accordance with maintenance instructions and maintain accurate records in the maintenance management system
- Inspect work to ensure it meets all quality specifications and standards
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment as required
- Perform general duties while adhering to all site safety standards
You’ll Need
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting skills
- Confident in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to assemble and fit mechanical parts and equipment
- Ability to inspect work to ensure it meets specifications
- Experience in recording and documenting results and tolerances
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and safe work practices
- Proficiency in CMMS systems and general computer literacy (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Ability to liaise effectively with supporting contractors (as required)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- High Risk Work Licences (e.g., Rigging, Forklift, EWP) and Working at Heights certification are advantageous
