Integrated Product Support (IPS) Planner

About the Opportunity

As the Integrated Product Support (IPS) Planner for Austal Defence Australia (ADA), you will develop and maintain integrated schedules, resource plans, and IPS subprogram activities across all IPS Functions. You’ll ensure IPS deliverables are visible, aligned, and synchronised with broader shipbuilding functions including Design & Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Mandated System Reviews.

Working closely with IPS domain leads and program stakeholders, you’ll play a key role in ensuring IPS deliverables meet Defence standards, contractual requirements, and program milestones.

What’s Involved

• Plan and schedule IPS activities across all 12 IPS Elements, ensuring alignment with program milestones and system reviews.
• Develop and manage resource plans, ensuring IPS resource needs are identified, tracked, and integrated into program resource profiles.
• Synchronise IPS subprograms with Design & Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other shipbuilding functions.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, ensuring IPS domain leads and program teams remain aligned and responsive.
• Monitor and report progress against IPS schedules, baselines, and readiness goals to support decision‑making and risk management.
• Ensure compliance and governance, meeting Defence standards, IPS policy, and contractual obligations.
• Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement across IPS planning and execution.

You’ll Need

• Australian Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance.
• qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, or equivalent Defence industry experience.
• Proficiency with scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Procore.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in project planning, logistics planning, maintenance planning, or scheduling roles.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and coordination skills.
• Experience with SAP or IFS ERP systems (desirable).
