What’s Involved

  • Support the day to day operation of Austal Defence facilities

  • Raise, monitor, coordinate and close maintenance work order requests
  • Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities
  • Assist in coordinating contractors and service providers undertaking facilities related work
  • Verify contract access requirements, permits, inductions and documentation
  • Conduct routine facility inspections and condition assessments, identifying defects, hazards and maintenance requirements
  • Maintain accurate records of facility assets alongside the Asset Management Administrator
  • Coordinate waste management services and contractor activities
  • Support emergency resource planning and evacuation activities as required

You’ll Need

  • 10+ years’ experience in shipbuilding, fabrication, maritime, oil and gas, mining or similar, including 5+ years leading and working within a multi-disciplinary facilities/maintenance/utilities team
  • Experience working with contractors and service providers
  • Experience coordinating maintenance activities and service requests
  • Exposure using computerised maintenance system (CMMS) or similar
  • Knowledge in facilities services delivery, asset lifecycle management and maintenance planning
  • Proven track record in managing daily facilities operations, main
  • Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
