As the Electrical Design Draftsperson for Austal Defence Australia you’ll be providing and supporting the Design of the vessel from concept through to delivery, on time and on budget.

What's Involved
- Develop accurate, build-ready electrical drawings and technical documentation
- Ensure designs meet specifications, standards, and compliance requirements
- Support production by delivering clear, timely, and practical design outputs
- Collaborate with engineers, production teams, and stakeholders
- Identify and resolve design issues within your area of expertise
- Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
You'll Need
- Formal drafting qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong experience in electrical drafting, ideally within marine or heavy industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, ShipConstructor, and Microsoft Office
- Solid understanding of technical specifications, standards, and design processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- A proactive mindset with ownership of your work and outcomes
- Eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance
