Austal Ships has secured a landmark Strategic Shipbuilding Agreement (SSA) with the Commonwealth of Australia, supporting the national vision for a sustainable and continuous naval shipbuilding industry.
As the Commonwealth’s Strategic Shipbuilder in Western Australia, Austal is proud to lead this transformative initiative. The SSA will drive significant growth across our industry and workforce, as we deliver both existing and new programs under this long-term partnership.
This agreement enables the design and construction of vessels at our Henderson Shipyard, beginning with the delivery of Landing Craft Medium and Heavy for the Australian Army. It marks a major step forward in establishing enduring shipbuilding capability within the Henderson Precinct and across Western Australia.
To achieve this, Austal Defence Australia (ADA) are building a highly skilled team and engaging with local industry and supply chains. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects that reflect Austal’s proven capabilities and trusted performance.
Our Configuration Management teams are located in Perth, WA and Cairns, QLD and we are seeking experienced:
We are currently seeking Configuration Manager, Lead and Officers along with Document Controllers, ideally with proven experience in defence or a similar related field. If you're ready to take your career to the next level and be part of something bigger, we want to hear from you.
Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
