Shipwright
Key objectives & responsibilities include:
- Carry out fix carpentry and on-vessel installations
- Assist with the planning of resources and materials on specific tasks
- Conducting fitting (or general) tasks as directed IAW supplied Work Pack / Job Tickets.
- Generate full cutting lists
- Work in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring safety, efficiency and quality standards are met
- Self-monitor work area safety and general housekeeping
- Possesses exceptional attention to detail, communication and problem resolution skills and be comfortable taking as well as giving detailed instructions
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
Prior experience in any of the following roles:
- Shipwright
- Cabinet Maker
- Joiner
- Fitter
- Hold a Construction safety induction (white card)
- A sound working knowledge of cabinet making, shipwright techniques and cabinetry installation
- The ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools and other equipment safely
- Be physically fit and comfortable working in confined spaces, as well as at heights
